Travel guide of RomaniaThe Făgăraș mountains had quite a show going on during a splitboarding and avalanche training session in the Bâlea area. The mix of colours was surreal during this sunset, we could only stare for the whole very few minutes that the colour show lasted.

We were on our way home, but then we decided to turn the car around and drive in search for places to photograph. Everything kind of looked the same, the further we drove, the less snow. But then, we found this. And, boy, did we love it! Haven’t walked on an iced river ever since I was a child, so you can imagine the joy.

I was looking forward to the trip, where this picture was taken, for two reasons. Firstly, I went together with my sister, who is back home for a couple of weeks. I’ve been missing her a lot and it was the perfect time for a catch up. We always have a deeper connection when we go on a hike together. Secondly, we decided to stay on the top of the mountain at least until dusk. We’ve been there many times, but never managed to reach the peak during a winter afternoon. Watching the last sun beams softly touching the snow dunes from the top of the mountain is a truly calming experience.

We came to Romania specifically to drive two roads that are famous for their scenery: the Transalpina and the Transfagarasan. This photo was taken on the Transalpina, which we drove twice. Both of the times it was so foggy that we almost did not see anything. This was one of the few shots we managed to take where the great landscape is visible. Many people thought it was taken with a drone but actually it’s taken from a high cliff. One of us was driving, the other one was climbing.

My girlfriend woke me up at 4 am and asked me if I wanna go to a road trip. I said yes, and in like 5 minutes we were on the road. She took me to this old citadel and we were waiting for the sunset. I felt so peaceful and relaxed.

We drove to Romania just because we heard about this beautiful road: the Transfagarasan. It is known as one of the most beautiful routes in Europe. It’s true! We drove this road two times, and it took us 2 days each time. Each time there was a beautiful section, one of us stepped out of the car to take photos. The other one drove back and forth to ‘pose’. It was cold and it took a loonnngg time, but the shots are totally worth it!

Light and clouds, on Deer’s Valley (Valea Cerbului), Romania. I just love this place, campers usually come in June and leave in late September. They come with tents, trailers, portable showers, solar panels and even tv antennas. Most of them are retired and prefer to spend the summers outdoors. Brown bears come to visit almost every evening, but campers are used to them and even named a few.

We were on our way to see some natural rock landmarks in Romania, but the cable car had not been working for days, due to bad weather conditions. In spite of that, a 4x4 got us on this “optional tour to the waterfall “Seven Springs. It has the purest water and is known for its foamy texture due to falling on moss. This tour didn’t convince us at first but was worth it in the end. Never settle for less, always look for more.

After a cold, windy and rainy trip up the mountain, finally the sky cleared up as we were about to head to our cars. Before packing the camera, I saw the colours of this beautiful sunset. 6 months later, I got to editing the photo.

Went out shooting on this hill nearby my homeplace with the idea of creating a timelapse of my town at sunset.I got there but couldn’t really find an inspiring composition for my timelapse, but the moment I turned around and I saw how beautifully the light rays from the sun were landing on those green hills behind me, I immediatly threw my tripod in place and got this extraordinary shot.Moments after, the light changed, and if I hadn’t turned my back around at that exact time, this photo wouldn’t be here.

After a mass in the church just a few people were seated and I wanted to imply a solitude and serenity in a photo. Incredible stained-glass windows and atmosphere was pretty subtle and dim. I’ve enhanced additionally the light from the window.

While enjoying a couple of wonderful days in a Retreat @David Resort in Rucトビ Village, Romania, I was looking for good lighting to take a shot. One of the evenings, I just stumbled upon this beautiful sunset overlooking all the village and the surrounding mountains. The scenery was simply astounding. I have pos-processed the image in Photoshop to give it a bit more dramatic view.

On my way to the mountain Vulcan, I saw from far away, this lonely little forgotten house touched only by the sun. The peaceful view hold me in that place for a few moments. Than I took my camera…

Sometimes you just need to take a break, go out in nature and reconnect to yourself. In the middle of chaos and lots of people, we found a corner where the sun kissed this beautiful woman’s skin.

This photo is a 30 second exposure. It was taken at night, under completely dark sky. The left side of the mountain is lit by the lights of the village of Torockó. The mountain is situated in Erdély. I took this picture on my holiday as one of my first astrophoto attempts. Torockó is a beautiful Hungarian village and the locals are very kind and welcoming.

We love the long path down to the lake at Gradina Botanica in Iasi. Never easy on the knees, but very pleasant in every other sense. Our kids go on ahead to see what the garden holds in ducks, turtles, flowers, frogs and butterflies. I’ll dream of this walk even if I never go again.

It was the end of May in Cluj County. We took our bikes to Buscat, rode from there up to Muntele Mare, then came all the way down to Cluj-Napoca (with some bits of up). It was pouring rain on but, but we made a few stops to rest and eat. I taught this moment had to be captured, it looked too cool not to. :)

This beautiful woman is my sister. We often go for long walks and talk and laugh and sometimes cry. We like to go out in nature, be that a forest or a park. I think in this photo she has such a powerful and feminine stance, it’s hard not to be mesmerized by her look. She is an old soul and a creator of a natural cosmetics brand, we share together, called Tămada (its meaning is related to healing). She is a healer and she does magic with her hands. Can you tell she’s my big sister? I love her. She’s my first model for film photography.

Believe it or not, I took this photo while the car was moving. I loved the contrast between the red-accent sign and green grass, but I couldn't ask my dad to make another stop, so I took the risk and snapped this in a turn.

Before the construction of the palace, the location was occupied by the ruins of a monastery (Saint John the Great) and an adjoining inn. The 16th-century church was renovated by Constantin Brâncoveanu during 1702 - 1703, but later deteriorated and was demolished in 1875
